“I believe that the human body is a miracle of engineering with interconnected systems that work in tandem with the mind to provide us with this amazing experience of being alive and able to move about in our environment. These systems can rejuvenate and restore themselves after injury, illness, or surgery when provided with the optimal environment to do so.  I believe that physical therapy is both art and science, requiring the practitioner to utilize evidence-based practice in treating localized conditions or specific functional limitations, in conjunction with a holistic approach that takes a broader view of the interdependent mind-body systems and how they can impact a specific diagnosis or deficit.”

My background as a physical therapist, surgical patient, and orthopedic medical device rep gives me a unique perspective into my client’s needs:

1)    Physical Therapist – having worked in nearly every type of rehab environment from indigent care in the NICU of a large university teaching hospital to professional athlete rehab in a high-tech sports medicine facility, I have always treated every patient with a focused, compassionate, hands-on approach that takes into account all the factors that are leading to dysfunction and addresses them in a meticulous and comprehensive manner

2)    Surgical Patient – having had major shoulder, knee, and hernia surgeries as well as chronic low back pain, I have first-hand experience with utilizing a comprehensive physical therapy approach to rehabilitate myself back to 100% pain free function

3)    Orthopedic Sales Rep – representing orthopedic surgical products has given me the opportunity to observe a wide variety of orthopedic surgical procedures and develop a unique understanding of how the different implants, procedures, and surgical techniques can impact patient’s rehabilitative outcomes
